What happens

Julian Cross runs a tavern in the Dreadwood, a forest caught between human and demon territories. Both sides want to destroy it. Surrounded by hostile forces, poisoned supplies, and blockades, Julian keeps the bar open anyway. It becomes a gathering place for refugees and spies, then the real conspiracy surfaces; someone has been stoking the conflict on purpose. When Julian finally sees who, he has to unite the very factions trying to kill him.
