What happens

Becca has spent two years resenting her stepbrother Samir, blaming him for her fractured family and lost life. She's built her anger into something solid, something she can depend on. Then the air conditioning fails during a heatwave, trapping them both in a house that becomes increasingly unbearable. As Samir works to fix the system, the heat strips away her defences. Small moments accumulate. Proximity becomes something charged. The line between what she's convinced herself to feel and what she actually feels grows thinner by the hour, until she's forced to confront something she's been running from since the day he arrived.
