What happens

The Saintess Celeste spreads a lie after an avalanche: that Evelyn, once the Sacred Mountain's finest rope guide, sabotaged the rescue. Evelyn's fiancé Duke Adrian believes it. For three years, she kneels on frozen steps to fund her brother Noah's medicine and keep an orphanage running. The humiliation reaches its peak when Adrian orders her to debase herself before Celeste. Then Noah dies. With nothing remaining to protect, Evelyn tears apart the atonement contract and exposes the Saintess's fabricated story.
