What happens

Roger runs one of the world's largest companies. He wants his mother Susan, who still works at a small restaurant in her hometown, to meet his fiancée Vivian and celebrate with him in the city. When they arrive, Vivian and her cousin Lisa don't recognise Susan and mistake her for staff, then a thief. They humiliate her repeatedly. Susan tries to explain who she is but no one believes the quiet woman in ordinary clothes. Roger eventually intervenes and the truth comes out. But the damage is already done, and Roger decides to make those who dismissed and mocked his mother face the consequences.
