What happens

Serena was princess of Atlantis. Her stepsister and fiancé conspired to kill her, and they succeeded. She wakes as someone else, pulled back from death by a bond with Nereus, the ancient god of the seas. With this new power behind her, she traces the conspiracy back to its roots. She dismantles the people who betrayed her, tears down the rigid hierarchy that ruled the kingdom, and claims the throne. By the end, she doesn't just survive what should have destroyed her. She's remade the world that tried to break her.
