What happens

Claire Rowan is a straight-A student whose whole life revolves around her grades. When Adrian Harlow, the school's most wanted guy, suddenly confesses his feelings, she lets herself believe it might be real. They fall hard into romance and Claire stops caring about her studies, ditching homework to spend time with him instead. But Claire knows the truth: Adrian's confession was a setup by jealous classmates who want to watch her burn. The trap is set.
