What happens

Esther has survived five years of abuse, infidelity, and violence from her husband Carl. On their anniversary, another fight turns fatal. She buries him in the garden and collapses into sleep. The next morning, Carl stands at her door. He is kind, attentive, the man she married. But this version of him is someone else entirely. As Esther tries to untangle what happened in the night, she discovers that the person in her home may not be her husband at all. Someone or something has taken his place. Now she has to decide whether to trust this stranger wearing Carl's face, or resist the second chance that has mysteriously arrived.
