What happens

Xaden is the elite trainer at military academy, resenting the new recruit who's being groomed to replace him. He's good at his job and he knows it. Then he realizes Ivy can't be touched without dying, and that she's never been touched at all. Her lethal gift came from a lab, not a choice. Now his resentment looks different. So does her need for contact, her hunger for the one thing that could end him. The closer they get, the more dangerous closeness becomes.
