What happens

Iver is a swim captain who builds his life around rejecting everything his stepbrother Kardel stands for. To claim his inheritance, he agrees to live in a secluded mansion under Kardel's watch. The arrangement is meant to be temporary, a transaction. But proximity breeds its own logic. Kardel's obsession deepens. The walls Iver built to keep him out begin to fail. When assassins close in and a ruthless family power struggle erupts, Kardel stops pretending to be indifferent. Iver discovers the man he thought was a predator is willing to destroy anyone who threatens him. Fear and desire tangle. Hatred fractures into something harder to name.
