What happens

Evelyn has spent years as the quiet one in her family. Her husband barely sees her. Her stepsister treats her as beneath notice. Then a doctor's diagnosis changes everything. A terminal illness strips away what little she had to lose, and she stops apologizing for her own existence. She gets mean. She gets even. But her husband is looking at someone else entirely, and the woman he thinks he loves is not the one standing in front of him.
