What happens

Daniel Clarke empties his savings to rescue his best friend's failing business. Charles Grant had promised him annual returns for the investment. When the first payment comes due, Charles refuses to honour the deal, claiming he owes nothing. Daniel finds himself stripped of his fortune and his friendship in one clean cut.
