What happens

Lily's husband Mason divorces her after overhearing a cancer screening discussion, assuming the diagnosis is hers. He empties their house and moves in with her best friend, leaving her with nothing. Then she crosses paths with Adam, a wealthy CEO facing family pressure to settle down. When Adam proposes a fake relationship to quiet his grandfather, Lily agrees. Mason watches from the sidelines, certain her days are numbered; he has no idea he's the one actually dying.
