What happens

An employee's social media post about the CEO's stinginess goes viral, tanking his reputation online. He's been giving $300 gift cards to every worker on every holiday and birthday for years. To prove a point, he cancels the whole program and announces the replacements as hand-picked gift boxes instead. The office descends into chaos. Employees mob his door begging him to reverse the decision. What started as a show of good faith has turned into something he never saw coming.
