What happens

Cece Renner arrives on earth with a simple mandate: accumulate enough merit to achieve immortality. Four celestial masters guide her work as she moves through people's lives, healing illnesses and mending broken families. Another heavenly child, the Child Hellebore, is playing the same game, but he's willing to destroy innocents to win. When his cruelty catches up with him and he's recalled to the heavens, Cece chooses to stay earthbound, trading immortality for the chance to keep blessing people who need her.
