What happens

Chuck was a champion kickboxer once. Then came the accident that killed his daughter, the divorce, the years of drifting. He's working construction, living in a basement apartment, when his landlady Nancy and her daughter Mia start to pull him back toward living. Stability feels possible again. Then Mia vanishes. A gang boss named Gus has taken her for her blood type; he needs it for something. Chuck has no choice but to return to what he was, moving through the criminal underworld with help from people he meets along the bottom of the city. He fights to get her back.
